Frequently asked questions.

Are your puppies raised with some sort of socialization program?

Yes! We have actively used Puppy Culture protocols for many years and stay on top of new research in regards to getting our puppies off on the right foot (paw?), as well as explored other puppy socialization programs and included things that we saw that fit in to our program. We firmly believe that a well-rounded puppy starts with the pedigree, can be “roughed-in” in the whelping box and then polished by the breeder and owner through the sensitive socialization period. All of our puppies start with Early Neurological Stimulation, followed by the methodical introduction to many sensory items & experiences during their time with me. Our puppies typically leave confident and emotionally capable of handling many stressors with an incredible ability to bounce back. We start clicker training, crate training, potty training and many times puppies are introduced to walking on a leash before they leave for their new homes. They are handled by many different types of people, have gone on numerous car rides, have been groomed several times and much, much more during their short 9 weeks with our family.

How much are your puppies?

The cost depends on the litter and the expenses that went in to producing that litter. Typically, our puppies are $1,500-$2,000 for limited registration. I do ocassionally offer discounts on appropriate puppies to proven titling performance homes. I also offer military discounts as a thank you to our active duty and veterans for serving our country. Your application still must be approved before a discount is offered.

Do you require a deposit?

Yes. A $300 non-refundable deposit is required to hold your puppy or your place in the pick order. We have spent the time to market a litter, review applications and begin a relationship to our prospective puppy families. When you place your deposit on a puppy in the litter, it removes that puppy’s availabiity to another family. While deposits are non-refundable, we do understand that things in life can come up at less than ideal times and therefore deposits are transferable to another litter. We do not want our families to feel obligated to bring home a puppy if the timing is not perfect. While deposits are transferable, the total cost of the puppy may vary between litters. If another litter is not produced within 18 months, a deposit may be refunded. Deposits are accepted when a pregnancy has been confirmed.

I have a gender and color/eye color preference. Can I put my deposit down on a particular puppy as soon as they’re born?

Yes & no. Many things are taken into account when we begin the selection process for puppies. First things first, I always retain the ability to hold back any puppy in a litter for myself. I will never pick a puppy out of a litter before they are 7-9 weeks of age, so I can not let my families pick their puppy out any earlier than that. At 7-9 weeks of age, I can properly evaluate temperament and conformation. As the selection process begins, my only goal for my puppies and my families is to send them with the best fit.
